Oversight Kona works with absentee owners as well as year round residents who will be off island during home repair and home improvement projects. We are the liason between the workers and home owner. We also provide Home Check services on an "as needed" basis.

WHAT WE DO
Painting, flooring, electrical, plumbing, irrigation work - it can all be challenging when you live here full-time, but If you aren't here in Kona, and don't know the local trades - it can be more than challenging.
Oversight Kona acts as the liason between the homeowner and contractor or tradespeople hired for the project. WE ARE NOT EXPERTS in any of the trades, but will act as the eyes and ears of the absentee home owner, and be a presence on property while work is performed. We keep in contact with the home owner during the project, with written documentation, photos, and emails keeping them informed of the progress, and alerting them to potential problems or issues.
If asked, Oversight Kona will refer the home owner to qualified contractors or tradespeople and coordinate access to the residence. This does not constitute a guarantee of workmanship on our part, only of competence and reliability on the part of the company being considered for hire. Contractors are paid by the home owner directly, and any contracts are between companies doing the work and the home owner.
Oversight Kona is compensated by the home owner, either with an hourly
rate or negotiated commission based on the scope of the job.
We also offer Home Check services on an 'as needed' basis.
WHO WE ARE
The owners of Oversight Kona, Rosemary Schatzlein & Lou Ellen Lambert, have lived in Kona for over 40 years, having established relationships with trustworthy, reliable, and fair individuals and companies in the building trades along the Kona coast.
Previous to starting Oversight, Lou & Rosemary were picture framers and ran the Kona Frame Shop for 35 years. They have a professional eye for detail, a sense of aesthetics, good organizational skills, honesty and integrity. They are looking forward to putting their talents to work for you!
